Competition

 

Competition is hugely important to many players in GUT. Key to our success as a club is our performance in the British Univerisities Sports Clubs leagues, in which our Performance players compete on Wednesdays. However, the Committee have worked extremely hard to provide competitive match play for all abilities this year, with opportunities in our Thursday match play sessions and End-of-year GUT VIPER Club Championship!

 

 

GUT Club Championships
The GUT Club Championship is our annual club championship. Participants have the opportunity to play in singles, doubles and mixed doubles knock-out events. All matches are the best of two sets, with a match tie-break played at 1-set all. GUT Club Champs is held over the Spring exam period, from late April until the last day of the semester, which doubles as FINALS DAY: one of the most exciting days in the GUT calendar, when the finals of all the events are played.
